With it’s project, Lucas Dauvergne suggests a way to limit the amount of domestic waste, with ludic, creative and useful upcycling processes.

The “material lab” made by the designer, with the collaboration of a textile designer, Valentine Rosi, explores the potential of domestic waste and results to four DIY kits turning trash contents into useful products.

The first kit presented here is a cartridge refill system with organic inks made from waste.

Three others “do-it-yourself kits” are also available, including a simple and easy way to recycle bottles into drinking glasses, an urban composter that produces delicious mushrooms, and a red cabbage boiled water based solar lamp.
