This project was to build end links for uxcell R18 10mm x 15mm cable chain links (easily found on Amazon) and allow for a fairly simple way to connect the ends to a standard Wanhao i3 plus printer using existing mounting points. The only additional items needed were some M3x8 bolts and M3 nuts.(I used 10 of each total). This allowed me to clean up the ribbon cable and also allow for an easy cable pathway for the Bltouch I added.
The HOTEND part simply uses the same screws used to hold the top x-axis bearing block - unscrew them, place the link end in front, then reassemble using the same screws.
The JOINT attaches using the four open screw points on the Z-axis support. just use four M3x8 screws.
The BRACKET uses the open two holes opposite from the z-axis stop on the tower. Use two M3x8 with M3 nuts. It's designed to not impact Z-axis travel.
You may have to change the orientation of the cable chain ends to flex the correct way - they attach to the links with M3x8 screw
