Searching for ice packs, there's a lot of products for sale. With this you freeze some water, and get a block of ice with a handle on it, so your fingers don't freeze.
This style is simple. The holder was carefully designed to fit a walmart 8 ounce (or 8.5) disposable foam cup. But then I saw it fits practically every cup in the joint...
I wonder if the foam is interfering with even freezing. This time it cracked open as the water expanded at the bottom, so just be aware.
One might scale it to fit any suitable plastic tumbler, if you wanted something dedicated, and more permanent.
My freezer is -20 C, but tap water still needed several hours to freeze solid. A spare might be worth having.
