I made this as an alternative to the original, also to work better in conjunction with my iFactory Bearing Spool Roller https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4728817 .
It offers a much more natural path for the filament to take on its way to the extruder, this in turn helps to alleviate any loose filament from jumping the spool and causing tangles.
I have designed 2 arm choices, one for using with the runout sensor and one for without the runout sensor. I choose not to use the runout sensor as IMHO it offers little benefit and is just one more thing to fail and cause problems, I also find it can be a pain to feed the filament through sometimes.
You will need to print the bracket and whatever guide arm you wish to use.
Printed using PETG @0.2 Layer Height on the iFactory, no supports are required.
You will require a slightly longer length of 4mm OD PTFE tubing.
