IKEA Billy bookcase shelf/drawer front hack

Designed to allow the popular hack for the IKEA Billy bookcase, these supports allow a standard billy shelf to be used as a front door cover for a storage cavity at the bottom of a Billy bookcase unit. Each support bracket is designed to fit in the existing pre-drilled shelving holes in Billy bookcases. The file features two different support types:The upper supports feature a pin to lock into the standard shelving support notch on the underside of Billy shelves. The part is a tight friction fit and prevents movement of the drawer front.The upper support must be installed in the 5th and 6th holes from the bottom to ensure it is at the correct height to lock in with the shelf. Compatibility confirmed with Billy bookcase units sold in the Australian market between 2023-2024. The lower supports serve to prevent incorrect mounting of the shelf in its vertical configuration.
