IKEA Glis Thread Organizer

If you're like me and suddenly find yourself with a pile of sewing thread spools and nowhere practical to store them, this one's for you. I designed a simple insert for the IKEA Glis box—featuring 28 sturdy pegs—to keep your spools organized, visible, and right where you need them. It all started when I ordered a bunch of thread and realized they wouldn’t fit in our usual sewing box. Luckily, we had an extra IKEA Glis lying around, and that’s when the idea clicked. The spools sit neatly on the pins, no tangles, no digging, just grab and sew.Hopefully, this helps bring some order to your sewing chaos too. I’d love to see photos of your prints in action! Print instructions:Just print the base plate (Part 1) once, and the pins (Part 2) four times. Insert the pins from underneath through the holes in the base. Done!
