Illuminated clock

This clock is battery powered for the actual clock, but it has internal LED lights which are mains powered by a transformer.

You will need to go to ebay and look for a few things:

AA lithium battery (gives a good long life to the clock)
Quartz clock mechanism (non-ticking is best)
Quartz clock hands, choose size by length of minute hand, you need 55 mm.
DC power connector socket jack female panel mount for 12 mm diameter hole
12 volt power supply
Car truck flexible strip light LED 12 v 30 cm LED

You will also need some wire, a soldering iron, two small wood screws, sticky tape
12 mm drill
8 mm drill
3 mm drill
