I was bored and wanted to see if I could '3D' the flat logo of ImmersionRC's new Ghost RC control protocol, this is the result.
Straight on it looks pretty much identical to the original logo, but tilt it sideways and it has some depth to it. I'm sure someone who's a wizard with Blender could do better.
The backing part measures 50mm by 60mm, I printed it on my Prusa i3 Mk3 with variable layer height, most of it was printed at 0.05mm to retain detail of the ghost, with the backing part at up to 0.2mm. It took around 2 hours to print.
The eyes are 3% smaller in the X & Y dimensions to help fit them in.
_____________________
To get the two colours of the print using Slic3r PE I swapped filaments after the backing part was printed. In the "Printer Settings" / "Custom G-code" / "After layer change G-code" box I added this line:
{if layer_num == 8}M600 ; Color change {endif}
You will have to figure out what layer the filament needs changing yourself, because it depend
