Update 24/01/2021: Increased the length of the trigger (smallest part to print) by 1mm. Now triggering the start button works much better on my machine. It works perfectly in practice and the design is now absolutely perfect in my opinion.
The start/stop button is a safety feature of your table saw. So I do not recommend to replace the original parts. If you do what I did, you do it at your own risk!
The original start/stop button attachment of the Bosch GTS10XC is not very good. There are alternative designs, but they still are far from what I was looking for. So I decided to design my own version.
It consists of three parts:
- the lever: print it placed on its side using red filament, 0.2mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 25% infill. You will need support only at the hole for the axis (see screenshot). Paint-on-support in the new Prusaslicer 2.3.0 is great for this.
- the button: I decided to do a two color design. Print the button in 0.2mm layer height using green filam
