IN-2 Nixie Tube Socket

I needed a socket for my IN-2 nixie tubes. So here it is.

Screw holes are for 4mm screws. The height of the socket works nicely with walls which are a couple of millimetres thick. The wooden wall in the last photo is 3mm.

The metal pins have a diameter of 1mm but the holes of the model are 2mm. For me it turned out that in reality the holes will be smaller when coming out the printer. So this was the optimal setting for me with my printer. Pins sit tight and feel safe. However, it can be different with other printers, so try before printing quantities.

The model features large holes to let the heat escape.

Printing with supports is very likely to be necessary.

Warning! Nixie tubes require high voltages. You must take care that pins or cables do not touch each other. Printing and using this socket is on your own risk!
