Basics (well not so basic)
• Module to be transported via spacex on falcon rocket.
• Module concept developed off spacex dragon 2 capsule.
• Module enters mars via nasa inflatable heat shield and dragon 2 re-entry rockets.
Module design ideas
• Due to the limited gravity on mars, inflation of the module will be easier than on earth.
• The light weight construction of the frames due to 3d printing technologies will also aide in the erection of the unit.
• Utilising lightweight but ultra-strong fabric such as that used on the space station as the outer and inner skins of the module will save on weight.
• Once the module is erect, liquid insulation/foam will be sprayed in the middle layer aiding in thermal protection and added protection from the harsh environment of mars.
• To achieve the insertion of the foam into the middle layer, the internal frame will have holes positioned along its length.
• The inner fabric will have a network of pipes to aide in the ev
