As someone who enjoys both running and weightlifting, I found it inconvenient to bring multiple pairs of shoes with me to the gym. It was incredibly frustrating when I wanted to go to the gym right after classes and didn't want to carry a bulky gym bag. There must be a better way to have the convenience of two pairs of shoes without the hassle of carrying both.
That's where the idea of interchangeable soles for shoes came in. By designing a shoe with a removable and interchangeable sole, it would be possible to have one shoe that can be used for multiple activities. For example, you could wear the same shoe for running and weightlifting, simply by switching out the sole. This would reduce the need for multiple pairs of shoes and make it easier to travel to the gym or exercise outside.
