An AA battery compartment with conductive filament 'wires'. Designed to be printed on a dual extrusion printer.
This is as much a thought experiment as anything else, and I'm uploading to see if anyone has any good ideas to take it further - please comment and/or remix!
The concept was to print an 'all in one' battery holder that could be interlocked with the same design to build a battery compartment for as many batteries as you'd like in your project. However, there are some limitations that seem to limit the possibilities here:
* The conductive filament I used (conductive ABS) seems to have some internal resistance (see the voltage on the meter). There's about 700k ohms of resistance between the battery connection and the end of the 'wire', dropping to 200k near the beginning of the 'wire'.
* I am still learning how to design things, and I'm not so good at adding flexibility. The tabs on the battery ends should be more flexible and easier to print.
* The interloc
