This simulation demonstrates the filling process inside a fuel tank using SolidWorks Flow Simulation. The contour represents the mass fraction distribution of the incoming fluid over time. The fluid enters through the inlet at the top of the tank and gradually spreads throughout the tank volume due to momentum and gravity effects. The results show that the fluid initially concentrates near the inlet region and then disperses toward the lower and side sections of the tank. Internal baffles help direct the flow and improve fluid distribution, reducing excessive fluid movement. Overall, the simulation provides insight into the fuel filling behavior and flow distribution within the tank, which can be used to evaluate tank design and filling performance.
