Design Concept:This 3D printed model features a unique concept where a ball is partially covered by a fabric-like texture, giving it a mysterious and whimsical look. It's both mysterious and intriguing, making it a great addition to various settings.Printing Recommendations:Use a quality PLA filament to retain detail in the fabric textures. Printing with supports is recommended to handle the overhangs. I used tree support for this, and removal was very easy. A fine layer height will help capture the delicate folds and curves. I stuck with a .2 layer height, and the result speaks for itself... phenomenal. As soon as this print was done, I snapped a photo of it still on the build plate and sent it to my brother. I sent him a text remarking how realistic this print looks and his response was "I thought the print was under the cloth thingy." Now, that's saying something! The designer of this model did a phenomenal job on this one, and the print is, by far, the most "realistic" looking thing I have produced.
