I wanted to add cutouts for the input wires to the original design, and in the process made a few other improvements:
- Thicker walls to make the case a bit sturdier
- New attachment method to make the top stay on a bit better
- Added a block over the USB connector to keep it from moving out of place
- Reduced the extra play in the length of the interior
The original model served as my inspiration, but I recoded the whole thing in OpenSCAD, which enabled me to parameterize all the dimensions and add the ability to generate the top and bottom separately or together.
Update: V2 files - I noticed that adding the wire slots made the back very easy to break off, so I added a block in the cover to provide some support so it wouldn't bend and break. I also shrunk the block holding the USB connector as it had a tendency to lift the top a bit when plugging and unplugging. In order to make these and any future mods easier, I also cleaned up a few messy things in the SCAD file.
