iPhone 6S Car Mount

This is a car mount designed specifically for an iPhone 6S in the Apple Leather case. I realize that's pretty specific but I built it for myself and figured others might have a use for it as well.

The design features a channel for an Apple lightning cable. The channel securely captures the lightning connector by feeding the cable in perpendicular to the mount then, once the connector is through, rotate the connector to be parallel to the mount and push back into the channel. The tolerances are tight to provide enough friction to allow the user to disconnect the phone simply by lifting it up. The connector will remain firmly seated in the mount.

The design does not include a physical connection to the car (i.e. vent mount). I don't like vent mounts so I used Command velcro strips to mount mine to the dashboard. Feel free to modify for your own preferred method of physical attachment to the mount surface.
