This stand is better than the last one because 1. It looks better 2. It can hold the phone vertically and horizontally 3. It can be left to charge on the stand This stand should be able to hole an iPhone 4 or 5 and some other phones with simiar dimension values. You can test by finding the CAD model of your phone and my stand and see if they fit using an assembly.
