This project is a proof of concept for a case that encloses a 30-pin to USB-C adapter for the iPod Classic (5th / 5.5th generation). Wanted to explore a reversible way of adding USB-C without soldering or opening the iPod.The adapter slots into the print and is held by four M2×4 mm screws. The USB-C port aligns neatly with the iPod’s original connector, the result is a case that adds extra length but hey usb-c. Details:Reversible mod, no soldering requiredHolds a 30-pin to USB-C adapter securelyTwo-part print, assembled with four M2×4 mm screwsAdds about 1 cm to the iPod’s length and 3mm to width and depth To assemble:Insert the 30-pin to USB-C adapter into the printed base.Align so the USB-C port sits flush in the opening.Attach the lid and secure with four M2×4 mm screws.Connect a USB-C cable and use as normal.
