IR Diod mount/holder

So i needed a way of mounting an IR gate to a shoot, to sens when a ball droped by.
so i designed this set of mounts.

On mount is for a 5mm IR diod (Transmitter)
(will work for other diods aswell)

The mount is ment to fit into a hole of 8mm, the diod should fitt snug, but i podded the mounts with epoxy.

The other mount is for a IR reciver, this will requere the reciver to be glued in with epoxy or locktight

the same way as the transmitter, tihs will fit a 8 mm hole.

Togther with one on each side these mounts will hold a IR gate :)

My usecase where for an digital scoreboard for a table soccer table
a gate fittet in each end :)
