To calibrate an ispindel one needs to put them in recipients filled with sugared water to measure the inclination angle. the trouble is that you need to fill recipients deep enough in order to let the spindle have a large angle. If you do that in any open recipients chances are that you will waste a lot of sugar just for calibration.

Hence the idea to print recipients specifically made for that purpose.

This recipient holds about 1.2 l of water but you have to count for ispindel volume so it is rather 800 ml of water + 200 g crystal sugar will get you to a 1.080 SG solution.

Dilute and measure from there to get lower SG.
