If you own a Jackite pole, chances are the pole has collapsed at some point resulting in a shattered threaded bottom cap. After wrestling with repairing mine, I decided to reverse engineer the threads and design a new replacement cap.
The threads aren’t perfect replicas, but they fit tightly and securely. I’ve tested with three different types of PLA and PLA+ and all versions thread on evenly with firm resistance. When first installed, the Jackite pole may slightly shape the printed threads, which helps the cap go on and off more easily afterward. It should hold up well as a replacement due to tight tolerances.
This cap is slightly longer/deeper than the original by design. Many people cut and add a small thin piece of dish-sponge inside the cap to absorb impact should the pole again collapse on itself, helping to prevent future cap breakage. The added length accommodates this simple modification, but it's not required of course.
