This is a box for the the DIY arcade joystick kit I bought from Amazon. The kit is from a vendor named EG Starts.
You will need the following screws and nuts. I used flathead top screws:
- four M5*16 (or longer) screws and four M5 nuts to mount the joystick
- three M5*16 screws and M5 nuts to secure the top plate to the bottom box
- four m3*12 (or longer) screws and four M3 nuts to mount the USB encoder board. You can substitute these with self-tapping screws.
Optional:
The USB encoder comes with four function/mode buttons. You will need extra buttons and wiring if you want to make use of them. I have them wired above the normal buttons on my box.
It is quite a tight fit to get everything into this box. Be careful of the wires when attaching the top to the bottom. The buttons and switches that came with the DIY kit are very tall; I had to bend the switch connectors slightly to make things fit. Shorter buttons will most likely fit without problems.
You will need suppo
