Julep Sofa – Surface Modeling Practice

This model is my attempt at recreating the elegant Julep Sofa using surface modeling techniques. It represents my first serious experience working with complex surfaces, focusing on smooth transitions, curvature continuity, and organic forms. Surface modeling is a challenging skill that requires patience, precision, and a strong understanding of geometry. This project reflects a long and demanding learning process, where achieving clean and accurate surfaces took multiple iterations and continuous refinement. While it is just the beginning, it marks an important step in developing more advanced modeling capabilities. The entire model was created without following any tutorials, relying instead on experimentation, problem-solving, and self-learning. It highlights both the challenges faced and the progress made along the way. There is still a lot to learn in mastering surface modeling, but this project is proof that progress comes with persistence—and we keep going.
