This is a fan cover that still allows for full power of the exhaust vent fan without pulling cold air directly across the corner of the bed.
I am aspiring to have all of my designs held in by small magnets so they can be quickly and easily swapped without any tools.
This design has a cone shape within the shroud to accommodate better air flow, however it is tricky to print cleanly due to the steep overhang. The centre of the inner cone has a small rod support built in that will easily break away after printing. I recommend using supports.
Print in ABS or a heat resistant material as PLA will soften and deform with high bed temperatures due to its close proximity to the bed.
You will need 4x 8mm x 3mm neodymium magnets, which press neatly into the corners. no glue required. For the Aussies, they come in a 10 pack from Bunnings for $7.
Very little magnetism is felt to the sides of the print once the magnets are fitted - this should not affect the stepper motor, but i
