# NOTES: 19/03/25 The incorrect upload of the Top Right stl has now been corrected. Thanks to those who reported the issue. 23/03/25 Added two stl's to allow for 270 deg hinges - These are untested but modified to fit Mordiev model "Creality K1 & K1 Max Door Hinges Geared Print in Place" on Printables - Slight modification to the hinge may be needed as space is tight on the top and bottom edge. Feel free to use it as a base and remix, or let me know of any issues. Printing my be more complicated due to the overhang and the thin top and bottom edges.K1 Max side braces to stiffen up the stock chassis.This model was inspired by DerrickDarrell and Fatman80 models on printables, but i wanted something with a better join between the sections, to have more than the standard number of fixings and to have a larger brace area, so i started from scratch and came up with this one.These braces can be fully fixed to the chassis by drilling and tapping extra M3 holes to line up with the holes in the braces, these not only increase the qty of fixing points to help brace the frame, but also hold everything in place so you can remove the side panels without having to remove the braces.There are also holes to allow access to the gantry mounts.I am fairly new to printing ABS, and i had a lot of issues with these warping right at the end of the print, not helped by my K1 Max bed not being great and never giving a good first layer so your mileage may vary.I ended up having to manually add some supports to the overhanging dovetails so that it would get as strong a support as possible to hold it down.I might have gone a bit overboard with my settings, so feel free to adjust as you see fit, but my settings are belowOn the overhanging joint i have made the hole into a sacrificial layer to force the slicer into bridging that section to improve the print quality.
