I found this laser cut design and modified it slightly for use with a CNC router. I converted the original file and simplified it in Illustrator. I changed some sizes to work with the 3/16" plywood I had on hand. I loaded the vector files into Vectric (CRV file), the software that came with the CNC, to create a TAP file for the router with a 1/8" spiral flute plunge bit. With that bit, I decided the gap between the kangaroos front feet was too small, so I left out that opening. I added tabs to keep everything in place while routing. I used a loose jig saw blade to finish cutting the tabs by hand, and I sanded all the edges with a small rotary tool. Everything fit together nicely, though I think the platform seems a little crooked when hanging. I should probably apply some sort of protective coat, but I haven't yet. I like that I can take it apart for storage.
