I love trackballs. I think it's because my first PC was a 386SX 20 and it came with a 3 button trackball and a 14" VGA monitor that was longer (from front to back) than it was wide. It was glorious, no soundcard, just a PC speaker... I played Pinball Dreams, Fantasies, Eye Of The Beholder, Wolfenstein and of course, the Doom demo in low res mode. All with that wonderful, frequently cleaned trackball. And now, a million years later, I am still a sucker for a good arcade trackball game. Golden Tee, anyone? This conversion does not harm your beloved Orbit and as an arcade trackball, I think it works well. It doesn't have the weight, size or spin of a proper arcade version but it's more versatile, more reliable and cheaper than a lot of the janky budget ones you find online. Something I totally forgot to do in the pictures is the measurements, the plates are 174x174mm for the square plate and 174x144mm for the rectangle version. The button holes are 26mm reduced to 24 with the (oac_bts) sleeve and the trackball hole 59.74mm reduced to 57.9 with the (oac_tbs01) sleeve or 44.8mm with oac_tbs02 if you don't want access to the scroll wheel. The measurements were dictatated by the Orbit but if you need sleeve adjustments just ask. You have some options, you can just use the oac_base part and cut holes in your control panel with the help of the template (oac_tmp) and use arcade buttons. You can cut out the button holes too and use the oac_bt which work but have very little travel and don't give much feedback. So better than nothing, but mouse buttons be mouse buttons. You can use the scroll wheel extensions (oac_sc) or even the spinner tops (oac_tn) that cover over the ball and sort of work, you just don't get the free weighted spin and if you want to go the full crazy, you can try the steering wheel out (oac_sw) which with some weight from either the trackball 40mm ball repurposed, or you can fill up a container (oac_swb) to use instead. I tested the wheel with Mame and it w
