Key Impressioning Device

This is a simple device used in key impressioning. It is done by filling each side up with Sculpey (modeling clay) and imprint a negative of the key to be copied inbetween. After the key is removed, molten Wood's Metal or Field's metal is poured into the cavity to create a usable key duplicate.

The device is made to be extra printer friendly, by having very little slopes, overhangs and bridges. It can be printed flat on the bed, but caution should be taken to not let the print detach and warp. (Although mine did, it didn't affect the function of the device)
It's beneficial to use a hard plastic, like PLA, to give the device more rigidity and allow for easier impressioning.
