Click. Clack. Customise. 🎹 Turn a Cherry MX switch into the most satisfying little fidget on your desk. Type a word, pick a shape, hit print. Out comes a clicky keycap (or a whole set) that's yours. Make it yours ✏️ Your text: type anything. One letter per cap, multiple letters on one cap, or a whole name with bases joined into a keyring. Choose your own font from Makerworld's extensive font library. 🔷 8 shapes: keycap (square or rectangular), round, hexagon, pentagon, octagon, heart, flower, and star. 🎨 Multi-colour ready: crisp text inlays and a contrasting base, built for AMS. 🔗 Keyring options: add a lug or a discreet corner hole, on any side. 🧩 Single or set: separate pieces, or a joined base. 🛠️ Tune everything: size, height, taper, corner rounding, click fit, and more. You'll need one thing ⚠️ A Cherry MX-style switch for every keycap. I have used Kailh brand for my tests. The cap snaps onto the stem and the base holds the switch — that's what gives you the real, clicky fidget feel. Printing Prints without supports when printed in the orientation exported by the generator. PLA or PETG both work great. For colour: download the 3MF, then in your slicer use Split to objects for the keycaps and bases. This will help you to be able to cancel individual keycaps or bases during the print if you have any issues. Assign filaments to the body, the text, and the base. About the plates When you export, Plate 1 holds the bases and Plate 2 holds the caps. Print each in its own colour, then snap them together over your switches. (Choosing "Combined" puts everything on one plate, good for single-colour prints or if you set as ‘print by object’) Customising is easy Everything's a slider or a dropdown - no CAD needed. Check the included guide for what each setting does. Now go make something clicky!
