Hey'o,
I recently found myself forgetting to take my midday cold and flu meds... So I took a nut and bolt prototype I've been working on in OnShape and modified it to have a space to store my meds and fixed ring so I can mount it on a keychain.
The ring is positioned so that it works with the layers of the print to be stronger and less likely to break off.
There are two designs, one has a small hole in the centre for small bibs and bobs, and the other has the threads cut back and a large hole for little odds and ends.
I printed this on my machine which has fairly tight tolerances (~±250µm) and the threads are made with a tolerance of ±500µm. If your machine isn't up to this spec you can always set the "XY Size Compensation" in Slic3r to thin the model down to give a little extra tolerance.
Zap out!
