Kidney Accessory

The main function of the accessory is to make a social commentary on people’s extreme obsession with outer beauty. These days, people tend to go above and beyond on decorating themselves with extravagant pieces of jewelry and makeup, thinking that they are not enough just with their pure appearances. I believe this is a big part of why such thing as plastic surgery came into a trend. People are never satisfied, and they think they need the help of external medium in order to be, or at least feel, presentable. Accessory for a kidney is ridiculous. It is meant to articulate and satirise the extent to which people would decorate themselves. In short, the accessories are decorations for a kidney but looks very uncomfortable and uninviting on purpose. Though people try so hard to portray themselves “better,” they actually look much worse.
