So here's my first thing. Its pretty utilitarian. I bought an XBox 360 Kinect for 3D scanning and it turns out there's a fair amount of play in the neck joint. I plan to mount the Kinect on a pistol grip for hand held scanning so I would like it to be more rigid. I made this small ring which snaps around the support arm, bracing the bottom of the sensor against the top of the base, essentially fixing things in place. Its easily removable if you need to use the built in motor at a later date.
