I wanted to design a simple but reasonably nice looking holder for my kitchen wall, aiming to free up work space for actual cooking.
It comes in 4 parts - all in one stl file for the time being. The spool is designed to be printed standing on the flat ends (as opposed to the threaded ends). I found with my slicer that this was the best orientation (prusa slicer). The rings on each section of the spool are purely to force the generation of supports, but are very easy to remove.
This was printed in filamentive wood pla, but should print in any pla really. The wood just matches my own kitchen and i like the ability to sand and/or varnish it afterwards.
The wall attachments have only minimal need for supports to print the spool guides.
