This functional spoon rest combines the versatility of 3D printing with the elegance of ceramic, tile, or other durable finishes.
Why ceramic or similar materials?
Since it will frequently come into contact with food (oils, sauces, broths, etc.), it’s important to use easy-to-clean, food-safe materials. Ceramic, tile, or food-grade plastics are ideal—they allow for thorough cleaning with just soap and water.
Adaptable design:
The interchangeable insert space is designed for a standard 10x10 cm tile, but the size can be adjusted to fit other ceramic or custom-cut pieces.
You can also use varnished materials (as long as the varnish is water-resistant!).
Where to find inserts?
Check platforms like ETSY or Walmart, or support local artisans for a unique touch in your kitchen.
No additional supports are needed for printing.
You also have a version without the spoon rest, which you can use as a coaster, pot holder, mosaic viewer, etc.: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7020316
