Kneeling Knight

This depiction of a kneeling knight (inspirational poster) hangs on a wall in one of our church’s classrooms. I wanted to find a way to have it 3D printed. I uploaded this cropped picture to Maker World’s 3D AI model generator. Here is the model printed in silver silk. This prints to 6" tall, any smaller and the finer details and sword hilt projections will break off or not print at all.

After the first test print, it was very obvious that the sword was not adequate being printed vertical and broke off. I uploaded the model into MeshMixer and separated the sword just below the hands. I added a cylindrical post on the sword hilt to go up into a hole I cut up into the hands. This way the sword can lay flat when printed and is now pretty strong.
