I have changed the magnet holder because the original one was grinding slightly at a flat angle. This "reverse" magnetic holder can also be used to sharpen knives with small blades (such as peeling knives). Too much pressure on the knife would detach it from the magnet (60x10x3mm). Knives should be sharpened with feeling anyway.
Due to the high lever in the original design, the carriage often got stuck (in my case). So I placed the knife guide rod lower. The angle can be adjusted with the angle guide. Release the connection, place the angle guide under the knife, align it and tighten the connection.
My steel rods were too short, so I redesigned the original end piece into a connector with more contact surface.
I only provide the modified parts, for the complete tool please download the parts from the original tool.
