This is my first design I have ever uploaded to Thingiverse! Hope you enjoy! :)
I busted the knob for the KitchenAid attachments a while ago and am too much of a cheapskate to buy another. After using a vice grip to tighten the screw for a few months, I figured it was time to stop being so obtuse and make a proper knob for it.
After an hour of modeling and another hour of printing, here's the result. Hope it will save you a few dollars from having to send out for one on amazon or whatever.
This one is larger than the stock knob, because I found it difficult to keep some attachments adequately torqued down (hence why the original ended up breaking on me.) This model is designed to be tensioned to the stock screw with one M4 x 8 and corresponding nut. The central hole is preloaded with a bit of 2 part epoxy prior to inserting the stock screw and tightening with the M4 to provide an ultra secure joint.
I recommend printing this in PETG using 3 or more perimeters. I used
