Kobra S1 Combo Lighted Tilt Riser

The Kobra S1 Combo Lighted Tilt Riser delivers several popular printer upgrades in one package. Add multiple upgrades in one project. Note: I have updated the assembly guide to link to the FlashForge Metallic PETG I originally used in this project. I had recommended an alternate when the FF filament was not available but struggled with the alternate material I suggested to get a good finish when printing other upgrade parts I am working on for the KS1. The color matches fairly well but the performance was degraded compared with the FlashForge Metallic Grey PETG.. It starts with a riser for the ACE Pro so that the KS1 lid can be removed or opened for additional cooling. Next, a tilt mechanism is incorporated so that the Ace Pro can be tilted back and out of the way for printer maintenance. The tilting lid will house 3 additional build plates and has a storage pocket for storing small items like filament clips, tools, and thumb dives. If that wasn't enough functionality in one upgrade, I have added provisions for both interior and exterior LED light strip lighting for enhanced task lighting both inside and outside the printer. The LED channels are modeled to accept popular LED diffusers strips and there is also a LED controller mount for mounting the controller internally in the printer. There are legend plates you can decorate in your favorite colors that snap into the riser to add some interest. The build is fairly involved and may stretch your maker skills beyond most printer upgrade models if you perform the whole build. That being said, the design was intentionally optimized for 3D printing with no support, no brims, and no glue needed. it prints easily without many changes to the standard print profile settings.
