Designed a replacement foot for newer KTM side stands on off road dirt bikes. My bike is a 2011 and I think they have used this side stand design from 2005?- to current day.
The design includes a 1/4" hole through the center. The purpose of this is to install a bolt and nut and tighten the part into compression. This hopefully will give the "stem" portion additional strength.
The part should be printed at 100% infill
Only supports needed are in the counter bore of the hole on the bottom of the foot.
The stem has a 1/2 degree taper on it so it will start easy into the side stand and then become a very tight compression fit.
