Makes
Dollie for the 65lb Kuat Piston Pro-x hitch mount bike rack.
Mostly wood 2x4 construction. A few 3d printed parts just because I have 3d printer and was easiest way for me.
Height of hitch as built works on a Honda Pilot and Kia Sportage. Just tilt it back on the casters for the higher hitch. Of course you can cut different vertical risers for your application.
my hitch heights:
12.625" KIA
13.5" PILOT
Ignore the aluminum bits and related parts in the photo. That's for ramp storage for the loading ramp I never use
Additional Parts:
AMAZON: 5 Inch Caster Wheels with Safety Brake 2400Lbs, Heavy Duty Casters Set of 4, Industrial Swivel Casters with Double Ball Bearings, Polyurethane No Noise Wheels for Cart,Furniture(Hardware Include)
Lots of 2 1/2" wood screws and About a dozen or so 3/4" wood screws. Tip: Pre-drill the holes for the screws
Tools:
Saw: miter best, circular works, hand (if you have burly shoulders and time to burn!)
Drill, drill bits, philliips bit for screws
