Lab rearing cage

This was made for students in a biology lab environment to rear various insect larvae such as butterflies, moths, mantis etc and observe their progress. After maturity, they were released into wild. This wasn't intended for a permanent habitat. Side screens allow for good airflow. It is all stainless and glass construction for washdown. Was designed to be made using all laser cut sheetmetal, with tab and slots for easy assembly. Parts were then torch soldered together. Glass is standard houshold window pane, screen is stainless wire mesh. Yes it was actually built and used. Maybe it has other uses?
