(NOTE: same model but designed to use a wood stick ¾ inch is also available on my profile) Re-use an old sail batten as a compass for large diameters for sewing and other jobs. One part holds the chalk pencil and the other one holds the tip.The tip can be an old sewing machine needle or a nail or whatever that fits. The part is designed to receive the chalk pencil on the picture but can fit other pencils. What you need to complete the hole thing:- chalk pencil- sewing machine needle or nail (or else) for the tip of the compass- 2 screws M5 about 10-15 mm or more (screw it through the little 5mm hole, it will make its own thread itself)- sail batten 3mm x 15 mm I designed a wall mounted support to store it, you can find it here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2085330-wall-mount-holder-for-large-compass#profileId-2253775
