I remixed this model:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2503914 Dr. Finkelstein
and this one:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4783423 Hinges
What we were after was a large Finkelstein head to use for a Halloween porch decoration. I took the head and brain models, scaled them up so that they were 12" ear-to-ear.
Then I split everything to fit my X1C plate. I added dowel holes to help assemble everything together. I included dowel STL's you can print, but I used wood dowels from McMaster-Carr:
https://www.mcmaster.com/97195A139/ For the Top
https://www.mcmaster.com/97195A147/ For everything else.
I scaled one of the hinges in array and thickened the pad - then reshaped it to match the curves of the head and skull top.
12ea required of the 8mm dowels.
35ea required of the 10mm dowels.
I modeled in a socket for 3/4" PVC at the stem of the head, and two grooves for zip ties.
