Laser Cut Bison

I was given a flat image and was told to make it stand. So this is what I came up with using Illustrator. I figured it was better to open source the design rather than keep it for no good reason. My example one is about 5x3 in. (give or take)

The two files I've included are the original and one that I prepped for cutting all at once. The Cardboard shims at the bottom of the single sheet are guesswork, as I just cut a few rectangles and put them in the slots.
