Laser Ornament Alignment Tool

Have you been trying to engrave the tops of your Christmas ornaments and find the alignment process to be a bit tricky? If so, then this simple little alignment tool will save you a lot of time and angst when engraving the tops. This simple tool can be printed very quickly and is easy to use.Just put your ornament in whatever jig you use to hold it steady, then place the tool in the ornament opening. Set your laser engraver to just show the alignment dots; you do not need to run framing. Using the crosshairs on the tool as a reference, adjust the tilt of the ornament until the laser is aligned with the crosshairs. On my machine, there is a red and blue laser dot. I find that aligning the blue dot (ignore the red one) just slightly to the right of the center of the cross is perfect. Once aligned, just remove the tool and engrave.
