This is a revamp of a rotary attachment I found online about 2 years ago. The inspiration came from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1359528. This uses 2 steppers and both ends are fully adjustable. I don't show the hardware but everything uses M4 screws except the motor mounts for the Nema 17's steppers. I mocked this up in Autodesk Inventor and then used the model as a general outline and didn't built it exactly to print. The wheels are turned on the lathe using 1 1/4" aluminum stock with a small slot for the o-ring wheels. I just grabbed 2 o-rings that fit and can't remember the size. The idler wheels are left overs from openbuilds v-rollers I had lying around. The base is machined 1/2" Acrylic that I had left over from something else. I cut it on my cnc router. I then cut the idler bracket and stepper face plates using my c02 laser using 3mm black acrylic. Finally the motor end and idler end supports were 3D printed using my Leapfrog Creatr printer. As you can see in the photo's I
