To make this latch, all that was needed was one detailed sketch and one boss extrude. Starting with the origin in the center, I drew about 3 horizontal centerlines with the appropriate dimensions and 4 vertical centerlines with the appropriate dimensions. For the curves, I made two circles, creating relationships with endpoints of lines to be coincident with the circle.
