Makes
A threading dial for a small lathe.
----------
"The thread dial is what insures that the part and the carriage are synced up so you enter the same groove each time."
The bracket fits a polish TSB16 lathe, but the mounting point fits a M4 screw, so you can design your own.
The gear is designed for a metric trapezoidal lead screw with the diameter of 24mm, pitch 3mm, and 30° thread angle. It has 20 teeth.
Post-printing
----------
The face of the dial was supposed to have letters, but they were too small to print, so I sanded it on the lathe and used a correction fluid to make the markings.
It requires two 608 bearings and a 50 mm piece of 8 mm rod.
How to design a custom gear
----------
This is the tool to get the dimensions for your gear:

Unfortunately you have to log in to use it, but the logins on bugmenot also work:

I suggest using this calcul
