Lathe Threading Tool Grinding Holder

This jig holds a lathe tool bit in order to grind the perfect 60 degree v for standard threads.

* Grind the majority of the tool on a grinding wheel.
* Put the tool in the holder and use it on a 90 degree sanding wheel or belt.
* Hold the jig parallel to the sander and it will finish the bit to the perfect angle.

Ideally print in ABS although PETG can also work if you don't get the bit to the plastic's glass temp.

This is for a 3/8"(~9.5mm) bit. You could also use a 5/16"(~7.9) with a shim to clamp it or just add a notch to the flat clamp print.
